The near Future...
Dear reader...
If you're reading this, then my device worked. The device, what I call
the I.T.R.P. (Internet Time Reversal Program) sends bits and pieces of
private diaries from the internet to you, in the past, don't ask me how I
created it, you couldn't ask me anyway, I felt a huge need to do this
so that you may be fore warned. Something strange is happening! Millions
of people have disappeared off the face of the earth! Vanished! It's
like late night Sci-fi! This is insane! My name's Chuck Bently, and this
is my account.
I was with my wife out and about at Time Square when
suddenly everyone turned to a giant television monitor. Normally I pay
them no mind but I felt compelled to look. When I did, I regretted it.
Flashing across the bottom of the screen was the words: BREAKING NEWS,
and the picture showed a ginormous army racing down a dusty landscape.
The news anchor was obviously as terrified as the rest of the masses,
but she reported that many armies were laying siege to Israel. Sure, I
have heard for months that Iran wanted to terminate Israel, but I never
suspected they would bring Russia in with them!
But right when everything seemed to stand still, time, space, people,
and everything for that matter I turned to my wife to discover she
wasn't there, I noticed because usually she'd be adding her own
Biblical commentary to the situation, but she didn't this time. I
couldn't find her...Anywhere. I didn't begin to panic until I looked
around to see others looking for their loved ones. I began to become
frantic. I didn't know what to do! People don't just vanish out of thin
air. But what was even crazier, was the very fact that we were not
searching for clues in the right places. We were looking up, but we
couldn't see them, we looked down to find clothes, of all things! My
wife's clothes lay right beside me! I picked them up, and while ruffling
through them I found a piece of paper with a truth that has changed my
life forever...
A calamity's aftermath...
Dear Reader,
My name is Emily Rogers, News anchor for CNN. Today was a day that will go down in history, a day that perhaps changed history!
Israel was attacked possibly igniting the spark of war in the middle
east. And if that's not enough for one day, something much greater
occurred today that plunged the entire world into mass chaos! Millions
of people vanished across the world! Estimates may not be released for
years of just how many people have disappeared.
I don't know what exactly is going on, but if there is a God, I wish He'd show up right about now...
